AI and automated decision-making notice
HANDLET LIMITED (“Handlet”) uses AI-assisted features to help trade businesses handle communications, quotes, summaries, and (where enabled) voice assistants.
What this means
- Handlet may draft, classify, summarise, or suggest actions using AI models and rules configured for your workspace.
- You remain responsible for checking AI output before sending, and for enabling automation only where it is appropriate for your business and lawful for your customers.
- Where Call Agent or another voice assistant is enabled, callers should be told they are speaking with an AI assistant, and recording/transcription notices must match your configuration and legal duties.
Automated decision-making
Handlet’s standard product is designed so that solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about individuals do not run without human involvement in the product design (for example review gates, eligibility checks, or owner configuration).
Where features such as Auto-Send are enabled, Handlet records automation and accountability events in its audit log (including a dedicated significant-decision event type for opted-in call sites). Not every AI draft, ranking, or suggestion is labelled a “significant decision” yet — counsel must still classify which product acts meet that threshold under UK GDPR / the EU AI Act, and engineering continues to extend logging onto those paths.
You can challenge or request human review of automated decisions where data protection law gives you that right. Contact [email protected]. Related in-product surfaces include workspace settings that control automation and the form.
