Privacy at a glance

This page is a short summary of how Handlet uses personal data. It is based on our fuller Lawful basis & data categories and How we process personal data pages and our Privacy Policy.

What Handlet does with data

  • Runs your inbox — We process account details, your business profile, and the messages and contacts you bring in so we can show threads, drafts, and workflows.
  • Uses AI to assist you — We currently use AI for intent recognition and, where enabled, social post support. Future or optional messaging features may generate suggestions, but you decide what gets sent. We do not use your customer messages to train AI models for unrelated purposes.
  • Keeps things working safely — We use limited technical data (for example logs, device type) for security, reliability, and support.
  • Honours your choices on channels — When you connect Gmail, WhatsApp, or other providers, we rely on your consent for that connection. You can disconnect when you like.
  • Uses trusted providers — Some processing is handled by carefully chosen third parties for hosting, payments, messaging, AI features, analytics where enabled, and support/security. See our Subprocessors list.

Your responsibilities

  • Your customers’ data — When you use Handlet for client conversations, you are usually the controller of your customers’ personal data; Handlet acts as a processor on your instructions for that message data.
  • Accuracy — AI output is not legal or professional advice; you remain responsible for what you send.
