How Handlet uses AI for tone inference, what it does not infer, and how user control works.

Handlet can analyse a limited sample of recent outbound messages to estimate a structured communication style for drafting assistance.

What AI does here

The tone system estimates structured settings only:

  • formality_score
  • warmth_score
  • conciseness_score
  • emoji_score
  • structured reason_codes
  • confidence when available

What AI does not do

This feature does not generate:

  • personality labels
  • demographic traits
  • behavioural scores
  • segmentation outputs

Your control

You can:

  • review a suggested tone update before applying it
  • adjust tone manually in Channels & Tone
  • reject a suggested update
  • delete stored tone inference data at any time

Transparency notice

The settings page explains that:

  • AI analysed recent messages to estimate communication style
  • no personality or demographic traits are inferred
  • you can adjust or delete this at any time

Missing AI metadata

If structured reason codes are missing from an AI suggestion, confirmation is blocked and the event is logged as AI_METADATA_MISSING.
